The influence of specialized palliative care on evaluation of patients' needs and quality of life

The aim of this contribution was to find out, using a method of evidence-based practice, the fact, whether specialized palliative care influences the quality of life and the extent of unmet needs of patients in need of palliative care in comparison with conventional care. Objectives: To find out and compare risk factors in group of patients with diabetes mellitus typ 2 without and with diabetic foot syndrome. Methods: On the basis of interview and screening examination we have tested presence of risk factors as an ischemia, simultaneous presence of retinopathy, nephropathy, polyneuropathy, age and gender.
